RESPONSIBILITIES FOR THE MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY FITTER:
- Working from SOP instructions to carry out mechanical fitting and machine building
- Working with hydraulic and pneumatic presses as well as hoists and cranes
- Fabrication of large components in some areas of the build
- Turning fixtures & connecting hoses
- Manual fitting of components and bench building
- Working within a process line environment ensuring quality at all stages
- Operating powered cranes and lifting equipment
IN A NUTSHELL:
The successful Mechanical Assembly Fitter applicant will be a fundamental part of our team, supporting all aspects of the fitting and build process.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE FOR THE MECHANICAL ASSEMBLY FITTER:
- Must have a strong mechanical fitting background, preferably with experience working with pumps, compressors, or blowers
- Must be mechanically minded and highly dexterous
- Mechanical and/or electrical qualifications would be desirable
- Must be prepared to carry out nonfitting tasks and work as part of a team to complete builds on time and in full
- IT skills are desirable
- A flexible approach to work and travel for training purposes
