About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Technician to join our team at Nicholas Associates Group Limited. As an Assembly Technician, you will be responsible for assembling mechanical parts to engineering drawings, bending and installing small and large bore stainless tubing, and maintaining company standards of accuracy and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assemble mechanical parts to engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Bend and install small and large bore stainless tubing, ensuring high-quality finishes and precision.
  • Maintain a sound understanding of general mechanical principles and apply this knowledge to optimize workshop procedures.
  • Work to strict health and safety standards, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
  • Report findings and improvements to the design team, contributing to the continuous improvement of workshop and stores procedures.
  • Work closely with other team members to drive product and procedure development, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Requirements
  • Qualified in an appropriate engineering discipline, with a strong understanding of mechanical principles and practices.
  • Experience working in an engineering assembly environment, with a focus on precision and quality.
  • Experience with solid pipework, including stainless, twin ferruled systems, and a strong understanding of tubing systems, fittings, pipework, and instrumentation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A can-do attitude, with the ability to handle multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Good experience in using common hand tools and power tools, with a strong foundation in basic bench fitting skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a focus on quality and precision.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel if required, with a strong commitment to meeting deadlines and delivering results.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience working with ATEx/IECEx equipment, with a strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
  • Experience working with oxygen-rich processes, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
