Location: York, North Yorkshire

Salary: £80 - £100 per day

Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education's North Yorkshire branch is looking for a Cover Supervisor in York, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2024. As a Cover Supervisor, you will step in for absent teachers, deliver planned lessons, and manage student behavior across various subjects.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise classes in the absence of a teacher.
  • Ensure students are engaged in assigned work.
  • Manage student behavior to foster a safe learning environment.
  • Coordinate with colleagues regarding lesson plans and resources.
  • Provide feedback to the teacher on student attendance and progress.

Requirements:

  • Hold a NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification or higher or be a Graduate interested in education.
  • Familiarity with safeguarding and child protection policies.
  • Willingness to undergo further training for professional growth.
  • Good communication skills and empathy towards young individuals.
  • Ability to adapt and respond to various situations independently.
  • Have or be willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS.
