Sports Cover Supervisor Responsibilities- Deliver and lead pre-planned PE lessons and activities, ensuring student participation and engagement.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's behaviour policies.
- Work closely with SEN students, understanding their individual needs and adapting activities accordingly.
- Promote physical activity and a healthy lifestyle, while encouraging teamwork and social skills.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all students during Physical Education lessons, following safeguarding and health and safety procedures.
- Record attendance, behaviour incidents, and progress during lessons, providing feedback to relevant staff members.
- Relevant qualifications in sports, coaching, or physical education.
- Previous experience working in an educational setting, preferably with SEN students.
- Knowledge of basic sports injury prevention, management, and rehabilitation techniques is crucial.
- A clear understanding of safeguarding policies and procedures, with a commitment to promoting student welfare.
- The ability to provide constructive feedback and maintain a positive and inclusive team environment.
- Be able to work effectively in a team.
- Hold an enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply for a new one through GSL Education.
- Competitive daily rates of pay.
