The Role of Electric Bar Manager

As the Electric Bar Manager, your role involves overseeing all wet sales, designing beverage menus, training your team to deliver top-notch service, and establishing The Electric as the premier destination in the area. Your passion for creating high-quality cocktails and expertise in mixology will guide you in training your team to excel. You will demonstrate commercial acumen in managing upscale bars, adhere to budget constraints, and prioritize exceptional service standards to drive commercial success. Your focus will be on leading and developing your team to exceed targets through innovative marketing strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the department's team through effective leadership, development, and minimizing turnover while maximizing performance.
  • Supervise labor costs to align with payroll budgets and maintain staff rotas accordingly.
  • Control stock levels and wastage, providing necessary training to support this aspect.
  • Oversee daily department operations and handle guest feedback across various platforms.
  • Maintain a constructive working relationship with all internal teams, including the kitchen brigade.
  • Promote a positive team culture, handle bookings, customer correspondence, and social media feedback efficiently.
  • Monitor customer feedback, implement improvements, handle financial transactions, update offerings to align with current trends, and prepare reports for review.
  • Address customer complaints professionally, conduct pre-shift briefs, ensure adherence to health and safety regulations, and participate in hotel operations meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with the Executive Head Chef, maintain a hands-on approach to daily operations, and play a key role in planning departmental events.
