The Director of People will have a vital role in shaping the company's culture and empowering our most important asset - our employees. Working closely with other leaders, they will develop and execute strategies to attract, develop, and retain top talent. By creating a positive employee experience and providing support, they significantly contribute to the organization's success.
Directly reporting to the CEO highlights the importance of this role in driving the company's mission forward. As a growing business with ambitious plans, this individual must be experienced in working with board members and investors. Responsibilities of the Director of People include:
- Leadership: Contributing to the company's vision and strategy, aligning people and culture initiatives with overarching goals.
- Strategy: Developing talent strategies to enhance performance, foster development, boost engagement, and retain top talent.
- Coaching: Providing guidance and coaching at all levels, particularly focusing on leadership development and employee relations.
- Diversity and Inclusion: Advocating and driving initiatives for a diverse and inclusive workforce to promote innovation and success.
- Culture: Cultivating a feedback-driven culture, ensuring effective performance management processes.
- Design: Implementing structures that enhance efficiency and support strategic objectives.
- Communications: Guiding internal communication efforts to enhance employee experience.
- Rewards Strategy: Developing a rewards strategy aligned with company goals to drive motivation and retention.
About you:
- Experience in HR/People programs within collaborative environments.
- Strong organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Business acumen and HR expertise for strategic decision-making.
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Cultivation of a diverse and inclusive work environment.
- Ability to collaborate with stakeholders and build high-performance teams.
- Progressive experience in relevant HR leadership positions.
This is an onsite role in Leeds, requiring the candidate to be present in the business. It is a great opportunity to contribute to building an exceptional culture in a dynamic company.
