Description: Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control (MFC) in Chelmsford, MA is looking to hire a Quality Inspector Senior.

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following: -Inspecting purchased parts and materials for conformity to standards, specifications, and processing requirements using predetermined methods and in some cases may determine methods and sequences.

-Inspecting for proper identity and dimensions using such measuring devices as micrometers, gauges, and calipers. -Visually inspecting for obvious defects or damage such as corrosion, cracks, dents, scratches, and pits. -Verifying specifications using purchase orders, blueprints, drawing or inspection instructions, and checklists. -Making pass/fail decisions on inspected goods. In addition, the selected candidate may improvise or adapt inspection and measuring devices as needed. May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures. Maintain records of results.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Microscope visual inspection experience 2 or more years of inspection experience
  • ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) training / awareness
  • Candidate must have HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to obtain security clearance and must be able to obtain an interim secret clearance prior to starting
  • Ability to use inspection hand tools
  • Ability to follow work instructions

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
