Sense now has a fantastic opportunity for a Support Worker to join our amazing team at our residential service in Leeds.

We have various permanent contracts available working from 20 hours per week paying £10.15 per hour.
Day shifts are between 7.30am and 9.30pm with a range of shift patterns available. Each shift is generally 7.5 hours but can vary, and our staff work every other weekend. There are also opportunities for overtime should you wish which are paid at an enhanced rate.

Our residential service supports five adults with dual sensory needs and disabilities, promoting independence and enabling them to develop life skills, with on-site 24-hour support and 1 to 1 support sessions.

The service is in a lovely residential area and benefits from having shops nearby. We are based around 10 minutes from Leeds City Centre and the service is accessible via public transport.

We have a lovely large garden with a summer house that the individuals like to spend time in and enjoy eating outside when the weather allows.

The service has a lovely homely and relaxed feel and the team work together to ensure that the service is always offering person centered care.

We have a 'Good' rating with CQC.

The main purpose of your role is to support people to be as involved as possible in every part of their day to day lives so that they can be full and active members of society.

This role in Leeds might include supporting people with:
Everyday tasks like cooking and cleaning
Personal care and hygiene
Finances
Medication and wellbeing
Going into the community for shopping or other trips
Their social life and nightlife
leisure activities of the person's choice, for example, gym, swimming, attending groups, pubs, shopping, rally's, day trips etc.
Everyone we support is an individual, so their care is as unique as they are.
