Job Title: Senior Practitioner Mental Health Lead

Main Duties of the Job

  • To lead the delivery of high-quality Primary Care Mental Health service
  • Review patients with mental health issues and provide specialized advice
  • Line manage a team of mental health practitioners
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders to meet patients' needs effectively
  • Provide training and supervision for practitioners within the PCN
  • Manage staff including caseloads, supervision, and recruitment

Detailed Job Description and Responsibilities

As a Senior Primary Care Mental Health practitioner, you will be part of a dynamic team supporting Primary Care Networks in Wolverhampton. You will focus on delivering effective services, supporting high-quality service delivery of the Primary Care Mental Health Service, and co-ordinating SMI registers within the PCN. Engaging key partners and stakeholders, you will lead joint working across health and social care to meet priorities around prevention and reducing health inequalities.

  • Leadership qualification, training, or experience
  • Experience managing an SMI register
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in evidence-based psychological therapies

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience in both Primary and Secondary Care settings
  • Supporting staff in clinical service provision
  • Experience in management roles
