Audit and Accounts Manager

Main Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to Audit Partner
  • Full-time role with 75% focus on audit and 25% on accounts preparation
  • Manage day-to-day audit operations
  • Conduct client meetings and audit planning
  • Supervise audit staff and provide team mentorship
  • Assist with Grant sign-offs for Automotive Grant funded Projects
  • On-site client visits may be necessary for some audits
  • Handle various audit assignments, including but not limited to:
  • - Stand-alone audits in the Paint and Consumables sector with £20m turnover
  • - Audit for a Vegan Frozen Food company
  • - Managing audits for a Software company with £5m turnover
  • - Auditing Plumbers serving new builds with £18m turnover
  • - UK Group specializing in automotive accessories with £20m turnover
  • - Audit for a Recycling company with £8m turnover and significant Gross assets and employees

This role offers a blend of management responsibilities and hands-on involvement, suitable for individuals who not only supervise but are also willing to dive into tasks alongside junior staff.

Candidate requirements:

  • Background in Public Practice and ACA or ACCA qualification
  • Solid audit background
  • Foundational tax computation skills
  • Familiarity with various accounting software, particularly Mercia for audits (training available)
