Shift Pattern: 36 hours per week / Hybrid: at least 3 days in the office

Main Duties:

  • Maintain current knowledge of air, water, and land pollution.
  • Support the team in monitoring and enhancing air quality.
  • Review planning applications and oversee the Council's Air Quality Action Plan.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation and Council policies.
  • Prepare clear and timely reports and documents.
  • Provide exceptional customer care and professional advice.
  • Represent the Service in meetings and partnerships.
  • Develop and enforce environmental policies.
  • Manage air quality queries, complaints, and projects.

Qualifications:

Essential:

ü Degree in Environmental Engineering, Science, or related fields.

Minimum:

ü At least 2 years of experience in air quality monitoring and assessment.

Desirable:

ü Advanced degree related to Air Quality.

Membership in relevant environmental institutions is advantageous.
