Robinson Wilson Solicitors is a small, yet thriving high street law firm dedicated to providing bespoke legal services to our clients.

We specialise in Probate, Welfare Benefits, Housing, Civil Litigation, Court of Protection and Wills and Trusts, serving individuals and businesses in the local and wider community.

We are seeking a dedicated and organised individual to join our team as a Business Administrator/Legal Assistant.

This role will involve handling various business management tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our firm while also providing administrative support to our legal team.

This is a full-time position, Monday to Friday 9 am to 5:30pm based in our Maida Vale office. It would be desirable for applicants to live locally.

You will need to be adaptable, able to collaborate effectively within a team and work independently. We are looking for a self-starter who can quickly grasp concepts and take initiative. Great attention to detail and strong organisational skills are essential for this role. Additionally, as this is a client facing role, applicants are expected to maintain a polished and professional appearance.

Interviews to be held: 11th & 12th April, 16th & 17th April.

Responsibilities:

Business Management:

  • Developing and implementing business strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Handling basic financial tasks, such as recording payments, invoicing and reconciling bank statements. Liaising with bookkeeper and accountants.
  • Overseeing the maintenance of client databases.
  • Collaborating with the firm's management team to support and implement business development initiatives and marketing efforts.
  • Yearly updates to pricelist and practising certificates.
  • Ensuring company policy and procedures are in line with regulatory requirements (SRA, FCA, ICO and the Law Society).


Marketing
  • Maintaining GoogleAds, Review Solicitors accounts and monthly advertisements in Westminster Magazine. Sourcing marketing opportunities and materials.

Administrative Duties:

  • Coordinating meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for solicitors.
  • Maintaining office resources and equipment, ensuring availability for daily operations.

Legal Support:

  • Assisting attorneys with case preparation, including drafting legal documents, correspondence, and pleadings.
  • Maintaining organised case files and documentation, both physical and electronic.
  • Conducting legal research and compiling relevant information for cases.
  • Assisting with client communication and scheduling appointments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Business Administration, Legal Studies, or related field preferred.
  • Prior administrative experience in a legal setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Discretion and confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
