Job Title: Administrative Officer

JOB PURPOSE

The Administrative Officer will manage the Statutory Office and liaise with parents and professionals involved in Statements of Special Educational Needs.

Responsible for collating information, including budgets, and supervising administrative staff.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Establish contacts with various stakeholders for timely advice and information.
  • Provide guidance on Educational Authorities facilities and services.
  • Support in producing statements of Special Educational needs.
  • Attend meetings, forums, and represent EA's interests.
  • Assist in amending Statements of Special Educational Needs.
  • Collect and manage necessary information for Special Education support.
  • Manage actions related to Statements amendment or cessation.
CODE OF PRACTICE
  • Provide paperwork for officers and tribunals in appeal cases.
  • Assist officers in Special Educational Needs Tribunals.
  • Prepare documentation for reporting on children with Special Educational Needs.
MANAGEMENT INFORMATION
  • Assist in implementing and reviewing Management Information Systems.
  • Manage database maintenance and administrative procedures.
  • Ensure assessment and review data is available for operational use.
  • Collaborate with ICT services to align user needs with operational policies.
MANAGEMENT
  • Manage and supervise team members within Special Education Section.
  • Delegate responsibilities and deploy staff effectively.
  • Implement staff appraisal procedures and identify training needs.
  • Plan and ensure timely service delivery.
  • Provide a high standard of service to Stakeholders.
