Main Duties
A new and exciting opportunity has arisen to join the teams delivering the Council's resettlement team.
The postholder will be providing a client centred service that includes engagement, assessment, action planning, employability skills to support pathways into employment for refugees and Afghan citizens.
- To work in partnership with local statutory & voluntary sector agencies and businesses to coordinate and develop effective employment pathways
Essential Requirements
Knowledge
- Understanding of the needs of refugees
- Understanding of the barriers that unemployed people can face which prevent them from returning to the workplace
Skills:
- Ability to be positive, enthuse and motivate others to meet goals and targets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including an ability to work with a wide variety of people, such as residents, politicians, senior managers and operational staff
- Ability to demonstrate project management skills.
- Experience supporting clients into sustainable employment opportunities
- Experience of employer engagement
- Experience of case management
