Turner Lovell is currently seeking experienced Commissioning Engineers & Commissioning Technicians for onshore HV substations and offshore platform projects in the UK and Europe. Ideal candidates will have a strong track record of commissioning energy transmission equipment and protection systems on various projects, including substations ranging from 132kV to 400kV.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of cutting-edge renewable energy projects, ensuring long-term stability and collaborating with an international team on sophisticated engineering solutions.

The responsibilities include the commissioning of complex protection and control schemes such as LV and MV Commissioning, Siprotec, feeders, isolators, and various relays.

Duties:

  • Commission components, solutions, and systems on large energy projects
  • Ensure timely and quality completion of all commissioning planning, reporting, and documenting tasks
  • Analyze system interactions and behaviors effectively
  • Perform or support test engineering activities, including different tests and specification support
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of industry and regulatory standards for the site team and clients

Requirements:

  • Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer on energy projects in the UK or EU
  • Valid GWO certification for offshore work
  • Essential tickets: CCNSG / Safety Passport, First-aid (3-day), Manual Handling, CSCS Card
  • Solid engineering knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working efficiently under strict project schedules
