Main Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the production team to develop and update the Commissioning Plan as necessary prior to commissioning commencement.
  • Identify and obtain sub-contractor commissioning plans for incorporation into the main plan.
  • Provide support to project managers and engineers.
  • Hold Approved Person status (AP) and administer electrical safety rules (ESR).
  • Apply Permit to Work and oversee its implementation.
  • Provide sub-contractor RAMS for inclusion in Health & Safety Files and Commissioning Plan.
  • Attend Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and ensure its successful completion.
  • Organize commissioning and coordination meetings to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Identify and arrange necessary resources to deliver commissioned Plant and Equipment.
  • Attend HAZCOM meetings to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors throughout the on-site commissioning process.
  • Deliver Commissioning documentation in line with client specifications.
  • Provide regular progress updates and issue reports to the Commissioning Manager/Project Manager.
  • Supervise commissioning activities of framework subcontractors.

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you will require at least 2-3 years of experience in a similar commissioning role. You will need an excellent working knowledge of electrical wiring requirements and regulations, as well as a thorough understanding of NEC3 Construction & Engineering Contracts. The ideal candidate will possess strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think on their feet. A valid driving license is required due to the need for travel to various sites as part of the role.
