The role

Senior Project Planner

London - hybrid working model (2 days per week in the office)

Excellent day rate - inside IR35


This is a fantastic opportunity to secure an initial 6 months day rate contract role as a Senior Project Planner based in London on a hybrid working model.

The Senior Project Planner will provide planning SME support to Portfolios, Programmes, Projects and Workstreams in support of the PPM delivery team.

The Senior Project Planner will be accountable for delivering a high-quality service to the teams and that at any point in time Service Delivery teams have clear, high quality output-based plans that all are working to deliver.

What will you be doing?

  • Provide planning support across Service Delivery Portfolios, Programmes and Projects to ensure quality plans at all levels.
  • Drive the adoption of DCCs planning methodology.
  • Provide deep planning expertise to planning workshops to ensure plans are coherent, outputs based, viable and identify key dependencies.
  • Manage linkages / dependencies between Portfolios, Programme and Project plans.
  • Manage external parties requiring to be engaged as part of production of these plans.
  • Support with aspects of business planning (annual and quarterly) as and when required.
What are we looking for?

  • Stakeholder Management
  • Ability to manage a complex set of stakeholder interactions, both internal and external, and resolve conflicting priorities if required including at ExCo and SLT level.
  • Attention to detail and an analytical ability
  • Help propose solutions to problems and appropriately prioritise activities.
  • Extensive, Enterprise level Project / Portfolio / Programme planning experience.
  • Must have experience to an extremely high level in MS Project, true expertise is critical to this role.
  • Advanced user in a P3M tool (preferably Clarity)
  • Prince 2 Practitioner (or an Industry recognised project management certification)
