Care Facilitator

Responsibilities
1. To facilitate and coordinate all movements within the Home, including movements of staff, service users, contractors, visitors and professionals.
2. To facilitate and coordinate staffing levels for care staff accounting for;
- Mobility's
- Supervision
- Breaks
- Meetings
- Ratio of staff to young people
3. To deal with outgoing/incoming phone calls for service users, including monitoring where appropriate.
4. Contribute and record all changeover meetings, this will include advising on visits, mobility's and meetings taking place.
5. To act as fire coordinator in the event of any fire alarm to participate in all drills as required.
6. To issue and balance float from petty cash tin (approx £1,500) in line with policy.
7. To manage the care staff rotas dealing with staffing requirements within legal requirements and budgets
8. To monitor and report on security systems. Including but not limited to;
- CCTV.
- Intercom.
- Computer Interface system.
- Personal Alarms (including issuing to staff).
- Radios (including issuing to staff).
- Fence Alarms.
9. To support the management on all aspects of Health and Safety.
10. Administrative support to meet all business requirements as a traded unit, including but not limited to;
- Administrative support for Transition planning
- Support the admission/discharge process including recording off clothing/possessions, medication etc.
Person Specification
1. Qualifications and Knowledge
- Educated to 'A' level or equivalent
- Must be numerate and literate
- GCSE A-C in Maths and English or equivalent
- Member of the Chartered Institute of Procurement and Supply, or working towards with a sound understanding of procurement principles within the public sector
- Knowledge of Construction Industry Scheme
- Working knowledge of procurement frameworks and opportunities presented by such mechanisms
2. Skills and Experience
- At least three years' experience or working in an Accounts Payable and Procurement environment
- At least three years' experience of managing staff to be able to manage project teams to deliver required outcomes and outputs
- Detailed knowledge of the financial framework in which local government operates
- Thorough working knowledge and understanding of requirements of Local Government Procurement, and EU Procurement Regulations
