The British Polio Fellowship are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable Administrator to provide admin support to a small dynamic team.

This role has plenty of variety and requires the ability to multi-task and manage several projects at a time. Excellent communication, planning and administration skills are essential.

Duties and responsibilities
This role is a cross departmental role providing administrative support to assist with the smooth running of the charity.

Primary duties include

General

  • Answering the telephone
  • Handling the post
  • Processing payments and reporting
  • Updating payments on database
  • Replying to relevant correspondence daily
  • Assist with booking meeting rooms and accommodation as and when required.
  • Assist with office stock management and ordering
  • Facilitating IT Support
  • Assist with all office management tasks
Fundraising/Booking keeping/CRM-Database

  • Assist with any fundraising administration
  • Managing fundraising collateral
  • Updating data on systems to feed in to any bookkeeping systems
  • Assist with updating the database.
  • Updating membership data
  • Support Grants admin and processing
Marketing and communications

  • Assist with monitoring and maintaining the website
  • Assist with proofing of members communications such as _the bulletin_ (BPF' s member magazine), Press releases etc
  • Assist with Social media activity and monitoring
  • Support all events such as AGM and Indoor games.

Qualifications
Must have experience in Administration or relevant field. (2-5 years' experience preferred)

Essential - Advanced Word and Excel skills and Intermediate Outlook and PowerPoint skills.

Preferred - Experience using: Bitrix24, WIX, ZOOM, Mail Chimp, Eventbrite etc.

Charity sector experience would be beneficial.

Excellent co-ordination and organisational skills with a very high degree of accuracy and eye for detail.

Excellent administrative skills and extensive experience of developing and maintaining proposal and contract files (both paper and electronic).

Ability to work to multiple deadlines and prioritise work, with proven experience in a demanding environment.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and a willingness to work flexibly to meet tight and challenging deadlines.

The British Polio Fellowship is dedicated to helping, supporting and empowering people in the UK living with the late effects of Polio and the neurological condition Post Polio Syndrome (PPS).

The charity provides information, welfare and support to those living with PPS to enable all to live full independent and integrated lives.

This is an Office based role.


This role consists of 15 hours per week to be worked over 3 weekdays with chosen days to be discussed at stage of offer.
