Our client a Global Aluminium company bringing together assets from across the supply chain have a current vacancy for a Waste Management Specialist based within their Fort William Smelter.


The aim of this role would be to monitor and drive compliance, strive for improvement and improve overall performance and waste reduction.

Working 37 hours per week Monday to Friday our client will offer a highly competitive salary along with the already mentioned many benefits.


Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to):

  • Develop staff competence, confidence, capabilities and efficiency in the field of Waste management
  • Collating information and writing reports on the businesses waste performance
  • Be the vocal point on site for all issues relating to waste and byproducts
  • Provide specialist advice and support to the business in order to influence compliance with policy / legislation / best practice ways of working
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and licences

Experience and Person Specifications:

  • SQA Certificate for DGSA or willing to work towards this
  • Relevant experience or within a similar sector
  • Knowledgeable in the UK Waste Regulations
  • Be a forward thinker and look to inspire others
  • Competent IT skills
