Overview of role:
Our client is looking for a meticulous and well-organised Payroll Specialist to join their payroll team. This individual will have a vital responsibility in ensuring the precise and punctual processing of the company's biweekly payroll.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Preparing and processing biweekly payroll for around 1,500 employees.
- Ensuring precise calculation of staff hours, incorporating salaries, overtime, bonuses, taxes/NI, and other deductions.
- Entering and managing accurate employee payroll records while ensuring data integrity.
- Managing new hires, terminations, and changes in employee status.
- Validating timesheets, leave records, and attendance details. Collaborating with HR to maintain accurate employee data and resolve discrepancies. Computingand processing statutory deductions, including income tax, National Insurance, and pension contributions/administration.
- Assisting with year-end payroll procedures, including P60s and P11Ds. Completing P45s, P46s, and other related administrative tasks within specified timeframes. Addressing employee payroll inquiries and delivering exceptional customer service.
Skills & Experience:
- CIPP Qualified or working towards a recognised Qualification and fantastic payroll knowledge.
- Customer Oriented mindset to ensure you provide exceptional support to employees.
- Good use of Microsoft packages including excel.
- Strong Mathematics skills and high attention to detail.
