Refugee Resettlement Coordinator

Job Description:
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Coordinator to join a local Charity Organisation in their Refugee Resettlement team based in Kingswood.
- Contract: This is a fulltime, permanent role, Monday to Friday
- Salary of £26,300 per annum
- Location: Kingswood and South Gloucestershire
- Some local travel required therefore you will need a valid UK driving license and access to own vehicle business insurance will be required for roles involving travel for work
- Occasional evening / weekend work therefore flexibility is needed
- There is possibility of an oncall rota being introduced in the future
The Refugee Resettlement Coordinator Role:
You will coordinate and develop 'community hubs' across South Gloucestershire to ensure seamless access to support to clients with a refugee background.
The role is a first point of contact for Hub community enquiries, registration and administration, coordinating bookings and providing a welcoming experience.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide coordination and direction in the management of the Refugee Hubs
- Oversee the preparation and development of the annual program calendars and ensure effective implementation
- Manage the daytoday operations of the hubs, respond and advise on crises and safeguarding issues
- Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholder groups and partners
- Lead on guest feedback and ensure responsive and creative services are delivered.
- Follow up on additional funding opportunities to enhance service delivery at the Hubs
Qualifications / Requirements: - Previous work with refugees or other vulnerable people/families
- Support Work experience with socially excluded or vulnerable people would be beneficial
- Empathy and understanding of the needs of Refugees who have experienced trauma and who have complex needs
- Experienced and confident in group work settings
- Language skills in Ukrainian, Russian, Arabic or other languages would be beneficial but are not essential
