Mechanical Design Engineer

Our client is the market leader of the automotive body building sector and supply a full range of recovery vehicles worldwide.


The Role:
As a Mechanical |Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the New Product Development projects.

Your responsibilities will include conducting research, analysing problems, and providing innovative solutions throughout the design, development, prototyping, qualification, and launch phases.


Responsibilities:
Complete project documentation to support the stage gate development process.

Generate CAD models and drawings across various project stages.

Develop detailed test plans and collaborate with the development team to evaluate and enhance designs.

Support the production introduction of new product offerings.

Provide technical expertise in the development of new products.

Qualifications and Experience:
The successful candidate will hold a degree in a relevant engineering discipline. While previous professional experience is desirable, we welcome applications from candidates at the early stages of their careers

Degree in a relevant engineering discipline.

Proficiency in 3D design software

Strong communication skills to articulate technical ideas effectively.

A good mechanical design background ideally in the automotive sector.

Good written and verbal communication skills.

Experience with FEA simulation packages for product analysis.

We are seeking a proactive individual who thrives both independently and within a collaborative team environment.


Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously are essential attributes for this role.
