Responsibilities and duties

Reporting to the Plant Manager you will:

Supporting in the delivery of all major project and overhaul maintenance during the annual outage.

Day-to-day management of contractors working on assigned projects.

Producing and maintaining project documentation

Working on ad-hoc projects throughout the year, such as, turbine inspections, conveyor overhauls, plant performance and efficiencies.

Ensuring project delivery is completed within the assigned time frames and in a safe and efficient way. Understand the Permit to Work process and review Risk Assessments and Method Statements as required.

Ensuring all works are completed within the parameters of the project budget.




Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

HNC or higher Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification, HND / degree is preferable.

At least five years' experience working in a Power Station or similar Engineering environment such as Refinery, COMAH site, Oil & Gas etc.

Ability to manage 3rd party contractors and manage project to be on time and on budget.




Personal skills

The Mechanical Project Engineer role would suit someone who is:

Ability to influence a team to achieve desired results.

Deadline driven, result oriented and able to multitask.

A solid team player who is also an independent thinker
