Caretaker/maintenance

Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Caretaker to join our team. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining and overseeing the upkeep of various facilities. This is a vital role that requires strong mechanical knowledge, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Duties:

• Perform routine maintenance tasks, including but not limited to electrical repairs, plumbing, and HVAC system maintenance
• Conduct regular inspections to identify any potential issues or repairs needed
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities and repairs performed
• Supervise and coordinate with external contractors when necessary
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment
• Assist with general cleaning duties as needed

Skills:

• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal
• Knowledge of electrical systems and ability to perform basic electrical repairs
• Ability to read and interpret technical schematics and manuals
• Experience with supervising and coordinating external contractors
• Welding experience is a plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact professionally with residents or tenants
• Familiarity with logic controllers is preferred
• Leadership skills to effectively manage maintenance tasks
