Teaching Personnel is delighted to partner with a well-respected school in Borehamwood, in their search for a passionate and dynamic Teacher of Drama to join their team in September. This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a creative and supportive school environment that values artistic expression and student engagement.

Newly on the lookout for a Teacher of Drama to now join their well-established Performing Arts department, delivering lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. Your Expertise and enthusiasm should inspire a love for performing arts, allowing students to express their creativity, build confidence and develop valuable life skills.

By delivering engaging and interactive lessons, you will be encouraged to use a variety of teaching methods, practical activities, and performance opportunities to inspire students in this subject.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality drama lessons in line with the national curriculum.
  • Encourage students to develop their acting skills, express themselves confidently, and explore their artistic potential.
  • Create a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes teamwork, mutual respect, and a passion for drama.
  • Support students in their preparation for performances, auditions, and exams, providing constructive feedback and guidance.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with relevant experience teaching Drama at secondary level.
  • A passion for drama education and a strong understanding of the national curriculum.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage and motivate students.
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Experience in directing and organising school productions would be advantageous.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
