Why am I needed?
Tenovus Cancer Care's July Jolly Jog event helps to generate vital funds to support the charity and it's work.

The role of our marshals is to monitor the route our walkers and runners will take and direct them and give words of encouragement.

It's vital to have marshals on the route to ensure the safety of all our participants.

What will I be doing?
Marshalling part of the route within the national botanic gardens - supporting our runners and providing words of encouragement.

Cheering on our amazing runners

You may be asked to help set up our cheer station with our banners and flags.

What skills do I need?
A fun, friendly and outgoing personality

Outdoors person

Looking to have some fun

An enthusiasm for the work of Tenovus Cancer Care.

How much time do I need to commit?
We would need our volunteers to arrive from 9:30am, with the race beginning at 11am. You will be needed for a few hours and then you can explore the gardens afterwards.

What support will I be given?
You'll be provided with a brief when volunteering

Support from Tenovus Cancer Care member of staff

What benefits can I expect?
Voucher for free hot drink on us as a thank you, along with access into the Gardens for the day (typically £14 pp)

The satisfaction of knowing you're making a vital difference to the work of Tenovus Cancer Care - especially the people who access our services

You'll be given a Tenovus Cancer Care t-shirt to wear on the day

We'll reimburse reasonable travel expenses in line with organisational policy

The opportunity to volunteer at an iconic event, meeting lots of new people and being part of #teamtenovus

A fun experience at one of Cardiff's biggest races. Reasonable Expenses

At the National Botanic Gardens of Wales. You'll be based along the route path.
