Contract:
Permanent contract working an average of 37 hours per week on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern 07:00 - 18:00

What will this role of Exam Team Leader entail?


You will be responsible for leading a team of Exam Fitters to ensure safe, compliant and completion of Level - 4 examinations.

Duties will include, although will not be limited to:

  • Implementation and maintenance of safety systems, production efficiency and quality output
  • Operate rail vehicles as required, within depot operating limits
  • Ensuring the compliance of teams working to VMI's, VOI's and Arriva TrainCare work instructions
  • Liaison with customers to ensure efficient work programmes are implemented
  • Assisting the training department in the development of competence assessments
  • Mentoring and coaching of the team to ensure they have the relevant training
  • Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures

What will I need to be considered for this Exam Team Leader role?

  • NVQ Level 3 certificate in Engineering
  • Rail Traction & Rolling Stock preferred
  • Full understanding of rail vehicle maintenance
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering
  • Experience of Mark 3, Mark 4 coaching stock and 15X DMU's is desirable but not essential
