Rainbow Day Nursery School Ltd is a family based nursery established in 1985. We provide care for children aged 0 months - 5 years.


Our nursery has been present in our local community for over three decades and we are very proud and committed to providing a fun, happy and safe environment for children aged 0-5 years.

Our three main rooms have been thoughtfully designed to inspire children to explore and investigate, alongside our mindful long-standing practitioners who help to ensure our children have the opportunities to reach their full potential.


We believe a positive experience at nursery helps create strong and lasting foundations for later in life and our beautiful homely nursery offers a calm and stimulating environment which is a warm and welcoming extension of home.

At Rainbow children are given the time and space to wonder and investigate, talk and ask questions, discover, create and learn and develop authentic relationships nurturing them to become resilience, confident and independence.

The Nursery is open 51weeks of the year 8am-6pm. We are looking for dedicated
Level 2 and 3 Practitioners.

  • A fun individual who doesn't mind getting messy and can think out of the box.
  • Have a good sense of humour is essential.
  • Must enjoy working within a team and confident to make suggestions for improvements where necessary.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Good reporting skills essential.
  • Be able to keep an upbeat atmosphere across the setting.

Also needs to have the following:

  • Willingness to learn and undertake further training.
  • Level 3 early years education and childcare qualification or equivalent
  • A commitment to continuously promote a culture of safeguarding.
  • Sound knowledge of child development from birth to five years.
  • Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
  • Good communication skills.
  • An understanding of play-based approaches to children's learning and development.
  • A friendly and flexible approach at work which facilitates the development of effective relationships with children, staff, parents and outside agencies.
  • A commitment to equal opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide highquality care and education to children in the nursery

Experience:

  • Previous experience working in a nursery or early years setting is preferred
  • Knowledge of child development and early years curriculum
  • Ability to engage and communicate effectively with young children
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment
