What is the opportunity?:


We have a role available within our small but lively legal and fraud team, you will provide support to the team whilst engaging with other units within the business.

You will also be collaborating with external legal and fraud professionals to ensure a high quality service is delivered.

In this role, you will:

  • Review legal reports, extracting actions and updating line management/team as to next steps and maintaining internal systems.
  • Request and submit redemption statements, statement of accounts; ensuring all applicable fees have been correctly applied.
  • Engage with Law firms, LPA Receivers, Law Enforcement Agencies as well as other third parties.
  • Provide general investigation duties (legal and fraud matters) to support the wider team. As well as having day to day contact with other business units on general enquiries received into the team.
  • Retrieve archive files and title documents

What will make you stand out?:

We are looking for a strong legal administrator who has experience working within a risk, legal or financial environment with sound legal and/or banking knowledge.

Knowledge of the UK Land Registries is a must


You will need to have good Excel, Word and Powerpoint skills as well as strong interpersonal skills and be capable of handling and meeting conflicting demands sometimes at very short notice.


Ideally you will have the ability to handle confidential information and work with contentious and ambiguous information and help prepare Management Information/Reports.

There are no specific qualifications or minimum educational requirements needed for this role.

Our team works to ensure that all legal and mortgage terms and conditions are implemented within the provisions set out in the Bank's lending criteria.

This must be done in line with statutory, regulatory and legislative requirements.


We work on fraud and contentious matters, ensuring the Bank is protected from fraud and potential litigation action across all UK jurisdictions.

Communicating and providing the expertise and professional advice to the business functions.

This role is available on a temporary basis for 12 months to assist in team's administrative roles. There will be an opportunity to develop and understand legal and fraud risks.

This is a hybrid role with the primary office location as Bristol. Travel will be required for in-person collaboration - exact frequency to be agreed with manager.
