We are currently looking for a Ledger Supervisor to manage and oversee the activities of the Sales and Purchase Ledger with responsibility for improvement of processes to increase efficiency, month end reporting and the cleansing of historical ledger issues.

You will also be expected to help nurture and develop the team.

Responsibilities:

  • Minimise liabilities on GRNI account to drive accuracy of balance sheet and to maintain Group financial standards.
  • Train, motivate current team and identify skills gaps with recommendations for development.
  • Develop and adhere to procedures and processes for handling all elements affecting cashflow and the financial accounts.
  • Prepare and oversee the compilation and presentation of reports for presentation to the Senior Management and Leadership teams.
  • Ensure records and data are stored efficiently and securely in line with GDPR, having regard to audit requirements.
  • Supervise the reconciliation of supplier and customer accounts, ensuring payments are made on time and outstanding monies paid appropriately.
  • Act as a contact point for resolving complex billing and invoicing issues.
  • Build constructive relationships across the organisation to promote smooth process flow.
  • Create an efficient system for the distribution of payments across the organisation.
  • Resolve payment issues with vendors and customers.
  • Carry out any necessary internal audit reviews and monitor effectiveness of systems and controls
  • Recommend any changes necessary to improve the company's financial performance and financial controls
  • Keep up to date with an developments in financial management which might affect how the company's finances are managed.
  • Act as SME for any systems changes or updates.

  • Indepth understanding of the ledger functions
  • Proven ability to lead and develop a small team
  • Previous involvement at SME for system changes/updates
  • Knowledge of the industry
  • Excellent IT skills in particular Excel and other MS office packages
