Exciting Opportunity:Commercial Assistant

About the Role:As a Commercial Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the project commercial team and wider project delivery team. Your main responsibility will be to provide day-to-day administration assistance as required by the project. Your contribution will ensure accurate financial management and help drive the success of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing subcontract payments, contracts, applications for payment, and timesheets.
  • Collate daily/weekly labour, plant, and material information for substantiation purposes.
  • Prepare month-end data for turnover and cost analysis.
  • Maintain the Project Commercial Filing System in accordance with the Commercial Manual.
  • Assist in the production of Project Reviews.
  • Process subcontract final account certificates.
  • Input hours into the tracker from timesheets, rosters, and sign-in sheets.
  • Handle applications for payment and certificates on COINS system.
  • Compile raw data for auditors and provide backup for applications.
  • Prepare journals and KPI hours reports for the Commercial Team.
  • Raise Alliance ATRs on the Asite platform.
  • Address cost, invoice, or allocation queries.
  • Provide additional administration support when needed

Requirements:
  • GCSEs in core subjects including Maths at grade C or equivalent.
  • Experience with large databases and collating significant amounts of data.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication, numeracy, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous experience supporting a commercial/finance team is advantageous but not essential
