My client is looking for a Customer Care Advisor to work within their busy team on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract.


This role will be key in the Aftercare team providing a fully comprehensive support service to all new home residents, across all tenures, throughout their defect liability period.

This will include but not limited to - triaging, raising and closing of alldefects submitted by internal and external stakeholders.

Liaising with contractors to coordinate remedial works, scheduling appointments and ensuring that all customer communications are recorded accurately.

The role includes collaborating with New Homes colleagues to expedite defects Pre-empting repeat or complex defects and highlighting to the Aftercare Manager for further investigation and escalation to Development delivery teams


Reporting to the Aftercare Manager, this role also includes building effective working relationships with our internal teams and externally appointed managing agents, the role will coordinate the Aftercare process ensuring timely production of informationrequired for the Aftercare Manager when requested.


You will be:

  • You will be committed to delivering excellent customer experience embodying our values every day in the way you deal with customers and colleagues.
  • You must have a minimum of 1 years Customer Care / Aftercare experience.
  • You must have completed NHBC or the equivalent construction site training.
  • Be able to work effectively both within a team or independently there are elements of lone working within this role.
  • Have exemplary customer service skills and the ability to be assertive with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to keep calm in a fast paced, customer facing service which at times can involve managing complex construction issues.

You will have:

  • A desire to offer the highest standards of customer service.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, think logically and develop solutions.
  • Excellent IT skills in all main Microsoft Software and ability to easily pick up the use of new systems.
  • Technical knowledge and experience of properties, defects and snagging.
  • Experience in the social housing development environment with technical expertise desirable.
  • You should have a full clean driving licence and be able to drive to various locations across the operational area to provide home demonstrations / attend meetings as required.
