About the role;


This role is all about your ability to build positive relationships with the child or young adult in your care.

You will pick up the child or young adult and take them to activities such as bowling, cricket or sometimes shopping and a cup of tea.


It goes without saying these are very rewarding roles and you will make a huge difference to families locally in your community by offering respite care.

Training:


You will receive a high level of paid training before you start this role to equip you with the skills needed to succeed.


Do you need qualifications?


Put simply no, we are looking for people with the right character and transferable skills from any sector or background.

If training is needed or refresher training will be provided absolutely free. Yes free, and all our training are government accredited by a professional training provider that we work with.

Your duties will include;

  • Picking up and dropping off the child or young adults.
  • Taking the child or young adult to an activity.
  • Building friendly solid relationships.
  • Great communication with legal guardians
  • Encouraging children or young adults to interact and engage in activities.
  • Establish trusting relationships with pupils and interact with them according to their needs and personalities.

You will need to have;

  • Transferrable skills from your personal or working life.
  • The ability to demonstrate active listening skills and strong verbal communication skills
  • The ability to build positive relationships.
  • The ability to provide varying levels of individual attention, reassurance, and support.
  • A personable, calm, and caring demeanour.
