Operations Summer Internship, here at
Genius Foods.

The Role:

Genius is committed to innovation, sustainability, and excellence in operations.

As part of our growth strategy, we are currently undergoing a large business transformation project, across multiple departments, introducing new ways of working and efficiencies.


We are seeking an enthusiastic and talented food technology student to support the operations managers over the summer:
this role offers a unique opportunity to learn and grow within a dynamic food manufacturing environment.


This role will support the operational management team to support the development of documentation and process map flows for our HACCP and associated processes.


Responsibilities will include:

  • Collaborating with the operational management team to understand project goals and objectives.
  • Assisting in analysing current processes and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Participating in data collection, process mapping, and performance metrics tracking.
  • Contributing to the implementation of process changes and monitor their effectiveness.
  • Supporting project documentation, including standard operating procedures (SOPs) and training materials.
  • Working closely with crossfunctional teams (quality, production, supply chain, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution.

The skills we seeking are:

Studying for a undergraduate or postgraduate degree in a food science related field
:

  • Anunderstanding of the regulatory requirements relating to HACCP, Allergen, Foreign Body & cross contamination
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office in general.
  • Passion for process improvement and operational excellence.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn.

Contract length:
10-week summer internship, to commence beginning June/July 2024

Salary:

£28,000 pro rata per annum

Hours:
37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday
