Neway are looking for a Broadway Theatre Front Of House Officer to join our client based with Lewisham Council.

This role is starting asap, working 30 hours a week (anywhere between 10am to 11pm)

Pay Rate is £18.28 p/h PAYE

Main Purpose of the job:


To ensure a high quality, safe customer experience at events in the Broadway Theatre, and oversee the conditions of the Theatre's Entertainment license.

To supervise the stewarding, Front of House sales and catering requirements at events and rehearsals and to work in the Box Office.

To regularly undertake administration work including Box Office (Spektrix), Oracle and Artifax.

Summary of Responsibilities and Personal Duties:

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
The Broadway Theatre Officer is required to act as a Duty Manager for performances and rehearsals and access.

When on duty administer the Front of House operation of the Broadway Theatre, including the Theatre's three bars and merchandise sales points, a pool of casual and agency staff, and be responsible for all public safety of the patrons attending events at the Theatre.

Provide the highest standards of service possible to all users.

PERSONAL DUTIES

  • Deputise for the Theatre Management in own area of work.
  • During performances at the Broadway Theatre act as the Council's representative ensuring that all conditions of the Theatre license are complied with. Be responsible for the locking up of the building at the conclusion of a performance.
  • Ensure the safety of staff, artists and patrons in accordance with all relevant legislation and directives and implement procedures in the event of an emergency, including responsibility for making the decision to evacuate.
  • Participate in the recruitment and training of casual and agency staff to work on events at the Broadway Theatre.
  • Attend fire and safety inspections as required and maintain relevant records.
  • Monitor supplies for both the Theatre and catering service, including all bar provisions, confectionery, merchandise, ice-creams and other goods.
