SUMMARY OF ROLE
The primary role of a receptionist is to perform administrative and coordination tasks at the front desk.

Greeting guests and customers and answering phones are core responsibilities. It is important that you establish and maintain rapport with any visitors who arrive on-site.

SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Recep

  • Answering/Transferring calls from a busy switchboard/dealing with enquires

Duties:

  • Picking up calls for other sites in emergency situations
  • Welcoming visitors. issuing passes and H&S documentation to Contractors
  • Making sure that ESD Coats, straps and toe protectors are provided if required
  • Issuing CT identification cards. Taking photo's and transferring information to database. Keeping all relevant information on file
  • Providing Hospitality/Making Tea & Coffee and refreshments. Cleaning Reception desks. Phones and monitors
  • Sending mail and DHL parcels

Admin:

  • Making bookings for meeting rooms.
  • Raising purchase orders.
  • Checking driving licence file and updating every 2 years.
  • Update the time and attendance system for holidays, absence etc for the executive team.

Travel:

  • Book local taxi's for visitors/students.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Travel

  • Possible travel will be expected to various Nidec locations and suppliers

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

Education and Qualifications
Essential

  • N/A experience and personality is essential
Desirable

  • Business Administration Qualification

Experience
Essential

  • Experience in all MS Office
  • Previous experience in a reception environment
  • Meeting and dealing with customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Newtown: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
