You will work for a public sector department based in Derry. This is a contracted role for 6 months.

Your new role

As Deputy Principal accountant your role in this department will involve managing and providing quality assurance of the work carried out by the EOII.

This involves overseeing, co-ordinating, monitoring and preparing financial reports and returns for both cashand accruals based expenditure, plus various reconciliation processes.

The post also involves extracting data for ad hoc queries and ensuring branch processes and procedures are in place and that guidance is up to date.


Duties include:

assist in providing planning and preparation of the Division's, Monthly Management Accounts returns; produce financial reports for senior management; reconciliation of the monthly cash accounting information; support the planning and preparationof all In - Year monitoring round returns, profiling exercises and forward budget exercises; complete monthly Salaries reconciliation and oversee, co-ordinate, monitor and prepare financial reports and returns for both cash and accruals based expenditure andvarious reconciliation processes.
