If so, apply now, as Baines Simmons, Leaders in Aviation Safety solutions, are looking for a Principal Consultant to take over the running and strategic direction of a portfolio of Initial Airworthiness training and consultancy products.


You can be based anywhere in the UK so long as you are willing and able to travel as required nationally and internationally to deliver these services as required, on top of remote delivery.


Principal Consultants are responsible for making a difference to Baines Simmons customers across the Consulting, Training and Managed Services propositions, and you will be pivotal to strategy delivery, continuous improvement of the portfolio and exploitation of SMARRT MAP™ as part of the Baines Simmons proposition, products and services. You will lead your portfolio of products to ensure they are the best.

You will have a passion for the aviation industry and for helping to make a real difference and to take the customer on a journey. You will also be able to convey complex information to the less technical and build trust and credibility with our customers.


Essential attributes:


- Extensive experience in Initial Airworthiness, ideally in both a civil and military environment at a senior level

- Experience in Initial Airworthiness consulting and training would be ideal, if not, the ability and willingness to do so effectively

- An ability and willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required

- An ‘accountable mindset’ and willingness to role model the BSL values

- Strategic level experience with an ability to see the bigger picture – across the aviation industry and the Training & Consulting market

- A solution-oriented individual who promotes an environment of continuous improvement

- A passion for making the skies a safer place

- Excellent communication skills

- A valid UK driving licence and a vehicle

- A customer focused approach to your work

- Excellent relationship and rapport building skills

- Excellent problem-solving skills

- A clear and logical approach

- An ability to manage internal (BSL) and external (Client) projects to budget/ timescales

- An ability to support/ drive the BSL strategy (as part of the Operational Management Team) and BSL proposition (as part of the Technical Steering Group)
