We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity with a Public Sector organization that is seeking to bring on board a dedicated Category Lead for their Business Services category.
This permanent position offers a competitive salary up to 70,000 along with attractive benefits such as Car Allowance. While you'll have the flexibility to work mainly from home, the nature of the role may necessitate your presence on-site for key meetings a few days each month.
About the role:
- As the Category Lead, you will report directly to the Head of Procurement and play a pivotal role within the organization's Leadership Team.
- Your primary responsibilities will include leading, managing, and nurturing the Business Services category team to ensure optimal performance and seamless collaboration.
- You will steer the team towards achieving high standards and act as the 'Category Expert,' offering guidance and support to team members and other stakeholders.
- Driving a culture of excellence, you will oversee the execution of transformative initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency and fostering stronger partnerships.
- By fostering positive relationships and fostering a spirit of collaboration, you will spearhead solutions that enhance service quality and deliver enduring value across the organization.
Key requirements:
- Hold an MCIPS qualification or an equivalent certification.
- Demonstrate substantial experience in Business Services procurement within the UK Public Sector.
- Thorough understanding of Public Sector Procurement Regulations (PCR2015).
- Possess prior team management experience, preferably in a dynamic setting.
- Familiarity with Category Management principles and the implementation of procurement strategies at a Regional or National level.
