As the Transport Administator you will be responsible for fleet management and will have to oversee drivers on a day-to-day basis.
Key Requirements
- PC Literate in Word, Excel & Tachomaster
- HGV License desirable but not essential
- CPC National & International desirable but not essential
- Experience within this type of job role minimum 3 years.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the maintenance, driver hours, and legal operation of a road fleet.
- Interfacing with the site's customers, and dealing with subcontract partners.
- Liaising with local maintenance suppliers regarding PMIs, MOT, etc
- Reporting problems and dealing with any issues and queries that may arise.
- Deliver an induction process for new drivers and transport staff.
- Ensure all drivers have read, understand, and adhere to the driver's handbook and the driver's code of conduct.
- Administer disciplinary action when drivers are in breach of the driver's handbook or Code of Conduct
- Managing driver and transport office staff hours to ensure there is sufficient staff cover for all transport functions.
- Using telematic data reports to debrief drivers to prevent accidents in accordance with the company policy. The Transport Manager is responsible for reducing accidents by diligently carrying out such debriefs.
- Ensuring drivers complete daily checks reports and that defects are recorded and actioned accordingly.
- Working closely with internal maintenance team to ensure vehicles are safe to drive legally.
- Ensuring payments have been made and invoicing.
- Ensuring accidents are reported correctly and investigations are completed thoroughly, and any necessary action taken.
- Checking driver licences according to the policies.
