We're partnering with one of the UK's best-loved animal welfare charities to find a collaborative and innovative Systems Accountant to manage and enhance the Netsuite finance system. You'll have a strong accounting background, experience with financial software, and a passion for animal welfare. This role is crucial in ensuring financial processes are efficient, accurate, and compliant with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain financial systems, ensuring they are up-to-date and functioning efficiently.
  • Oversee the integration of financial data across various platforms, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Work with stakeholders to develop and implement system improvements to enhance financial reporting and analysis capabilities.
  • Provide training and support to staff on the use of financial systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve financial controls.
  • Support the audit process by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

Requirements:

  • Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a systems accountant or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency with financial software and systems (ideally Oracle Netsuite).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
