Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom FanDuel Full time

FanDuel Group is a world-class team of brands and products that deliver sports betting, gaming and entertainment to millions of US sports fans every day.

That's no easy task, and wouldn't be possible without a fantastic team who have helped us pioneer new products and innovative features that make us a leader in the industry.

Whether you're looking for better career progression, improved financial security or just a better sense of belonging, we believe we've created a culture in which everyone can succeed, no matter how you got here.

The Position

This Quality Engineer role is based within one of our teams in the Account vertical who focus on acquisitions (our offer to sign-up pipeline for customers).

There is an element of research and development as the team investigates various offers, and aims to offer further personalisation to our potential customers.

As a Quality Engineer, you'll work within this development team to effectively and efficiently deliver high-quality products and services.

You can expect to not only carry out both manual and automated testing (mainly front-end), but decide on how to test; what best practices look like; and engage with the development team to champion quality engineering, building quality into our everyday delivery process (so you'll have a lot of influence).

It's a great opportunity to really take ownership of quality engineering, and have a pretty rapid impact within this team.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
Investigate, examine and understand our products and the continuous change that they go through

Balance the act of performing testing with the act of providing capabilities and coaching software engineering teams in Quality Engineering practices and standards

Create test plans, thinking about any risks, the approach, the environment, reporting etc.

Reviewing existing legacy automation and decide on how to progress

Identifying areas for automation testing

Using strong communication skills to build collaborative relationships with the wider technology team

Using tech such as Java, JavaScript, Cypress, Postman

What We're Looking For

Practical experience with end-to-end testing, exploratory testing, acceptance testing, unit testing, contract testing (PactFlow) and more

Experience in both designing and implementing automated tests in a CI/CD environment, building testing automation into FanDuel pipelines

Proficiency in programming with JavaScript and Cypress for automated front-end testing

Understanding of Agile methodologies

What You Can Expect
