What you will do:

  • As a Project Assurance Lead you will interact at Programme and Integrated Project Team (IPT) level.
Working in partnership with the Programme and Project Managers to:

  • Identify the specific programme and project risks, threats and opportunities you will manage
  • Agree the Project Assurance Plans (PAP) defining project assurance activities aligned to Risk, Opportunity and Improvement within the Programme and associated Prooperating in line with the requirements of the Operational Framework
  • Successful management of Programme and Project Risks, Threats and Opportunities to reduce impact on Programme and Project
  • Success in leading Assurance Teams in order to meet Programme and IPT objectives
  • Success in leading Assurance function improvement plans across all phases of the Programme, Product and Project Lifecycle
  • Success in mentoring and coaching in order to grow Quality excellence within the Programme
  • Success in representing the Quality function at a senior level with Programme Customers and Suppliers.
  • Achievement of project assurance milestones within the Programme, Product and Project lifecycle.
  • Delivery of reports and supporting data to the Programme, Project and function as required.
  • Reduction in Sector Non-Conformance costs and implementation of a root cause and corrective action culture to reduce the cost implications on the programmes and project.

What we are looking for:

  • Ideally a Bachelor's Degree [or equivalent] in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly "complex" industry.
  • Be able to demonstrate Governance, AS9100 / ISO9001 and Continuous improvement.
  • Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that supports business goals, in 'the language of the business'.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
  • Be able to demonstrate experience in working with Customers and Suppliers.
  • Have demonstrated experience of developing a team, mentoring and coaching
