ASSISTANT GROUNDSPERSON

(Full-time throughout the year)


Cranleigh School require an Assistant Groundsperson to join our busy Grounds Team to prepare and maintain sports and recreation facilities to a high standard within the school grounds.


The school is set in 280 acres of Surrey countryside, eight miles from Guildford, and close to thriving village of Cranleigh.

8 Grass cricket squares

4 Artificial cricket pitches

5 Artificial cricket practice facilities

15 Hard tennis courts

4 Synthetic hockey pitches

9 Hole golf course


It would be an advantage to hold a relevant NVQ/Level 2 or equivalent qualification in turf management and have a proven working knowledge of the maintenance of natural and synthetic sports surfaces.

It would also be desirable to have the ability to competentlyoperate a variety of grounds maintenance equipment/machinery and possess PA1 & PA6 spraying qualifications.


Whilst the above would be an advantage, applicants displaying a genuine enthusiasm and passion for the role and willingness to learn new skills and commit to training would be considered.

A full driving licence is required.
