Rapid response in Gloucestershire are an exciting team, caring for people with a range of complex health and social care issues, and working alongside a variety of dynamic community and secondary care professionals.

This role would be perfect for a professional looking to develop their skills and experience, managing and treating patients in the community in order to avoid admissions into an acute hospital whilst delivering a two hour urgent care response time.


As a Rapid Response Clinician, you will have excellent clinical skills, experience of monitoring and managing deteriorating patients and problem-solving skills to manage challenging situations.

The successful applicant will work across our communities in Gloucestershire.


Rapid Response provides a Countywide service to manage and treat patients who present with an acute illness or exacerbation of a long-term condition.

Rapid Response service also delivers a falls pick up service for people experiencing both non-injurious and minor injury falls. Our aim is to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions and facilitate early discharge from the acute hospitals.

Rapid Response Clinicians work a range of shift patterns and shift duration is 10.5 hours.

Applicants must have post registration clinical experience, cannulation, phlebotomy and IV administration skills are essential. You should be an adaptable team player and possess excellent problem solving, communication and IT skills.

Community experience is desirable but not essential as a full and comprehensive induction program will be provided, A valid UK driving licence plus the use of own transport with insurance for business purposes is essential.
