Public Law Department Background:

Our Public Law team is known for its dynamic and exceptional ability in the Legal 500 UK directory. We excel in Public Law UK-wide, undertaking both publicly and privately funded work, with a strong focus on civil liberties and judicial review matters. As a well-established firm, we have a strong reputation with the Legal Aid Agency, Courts, and the Government Legal Department. In this role, you will be involved in various aspects of Public Law work, including but not limited to unlawful detention, asylum support, and challenging non-appealable decisions.

Main Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Report directly to Department Director
  • Responsible for all aspects of Public Law work
  • Manage and supervise team members
  • Assist with training and development
  • Handle a range of Public Law cases
  • Prepare documents, attend court, and manage funding applications
  • Have a proactive approach and strong client care skills

Key Skills Required:

  • 3 years PQE
  • Law Society Immigration Accreditation & Supervisor desirable
  • Must have a valid Practicing Certificate
  • Strong management and supervisory skills
  • Excellent networking and communication skills
  • Experience in dealing with Public Law matters
  • IT proficient
