Account Manager - Business Development Think you can convince a Marketing Director to go for a coffee with one of the world's most famous marketing agencies?

The UK's biggest, and best, new business consultancy. We create new relationships between agencies, brands, and tech companies.

Our clients are a cross-section of the cleverest and most creative advertising, digital, social, influencer, PR and content agencies.

These agencies produce marketing campaigns for the world's biggest brands and are all hungry to grow further.

They employ us to help them expand their peer networks, make new connections with brands, and in the long term, win new clients.

This isn't your standard business development role, or sales as you know it.

We don't use spray and pray tactics, instead, you'll be tasked with using research, insights, content, thought leadership, webinars and events to get your agency clients in front of senior marketing stakeholders.


It's a varied role:
one day you could be exploring how tourism brands can best use influencers to sustainable travel. Which PR leaders should join a roundtable on female (mis)representation in the media? Outreach
Under guidance from the senior team, you'll help craft email and LinkedIn copy.

All of these tasks pave the way to our key goal here at Ingenuity - generating 1-2 introductory meetings with target brands for each client, every month.

You'll be supported day-by-day by a team of highly experienced senior staff, who will set the strategy and direction and will be on hand to offer advice and guidance.

Beyond that, there's a rich, in-depth rapid development training programme which will arm you with all the skills you need to succeed.

You'll learn a lot about the marketing and business landscape, client and account management and the art of consultative, content-led business development.

You'll be immersed in the creative and commercial world and will get direct exposure to some of the brightest minds in business.

Fundamentally, the role boils down to brilliant communication: with colleagues, with senior level clients, and high-profile prospects.

If you've had some previous experience working in the marketing space, or in sales/business development then great, but if not, then passion to do so is equally valuable to us.

Curiosity - you'll need to stay on top of what's happening in your core target sectors and priority brand prospects.

~ Creative thinking - you'll need to spot insights, understand what this means in the context of your client portfolio and how you can use this to inform an approach.

~ Great writing skills - you'll be required to come up with catchy email subject titles and witty copy. We're marathon runners and dog-walkers. Amateur chefs and takeaway experts. Gamers, artists, and Netflix enthusiasts. Mums, Dads, Graduates, industry people, industry first-timers.
