Anti Social Behaviour Enforcement Officer

22.5 hours per week permanent post (CRB)

To work as part of a multi agency Community Safety Team involved in discharging the City Council's functions and commitments in relation to improving community safety.


You will lead on the investigation of anti social behaviour, neighbourhood nuisance and low level crime, working with and supporting victims/witnesses and perpetrators.

To undertake enforcement action against perpetrators within appropriate anti social behaviour, environmental and housing legislation and/or other appropriate powers.


To participate in the provision of highly interactive client focused responses to requests for service, to reduce and deter anti-social behaviour, neighbourhood nuisance and low level crime and to promote best practice.


You must be able to remain calm, diplomatic, and approachable in stressful and pressurised situations and deal with people showing a variety of emotions including aggression, whilst still providing an effective service.

The ability to work flexible hours to meet the requirements of the service is essential.


You must have knowledge of the affects of anti-social behaviour, nuisance and harassment on deprived neighbourhoods and be able to work on your own initiative and prioritise your workload.
