The role will be pivotal in driving the performance and growth of the E-Commerce channel

Responsibilities / Objectives:

  • Managing stock levels to achieve sales and online sell through
  • Providing insight into online trade performance from analytical sales review
  • Provide communication link between the Buying team and the online team
  • To manage inseason stock build, allocation and stock availability
  • Grow sales and ensure creation of a balanced product offering, using analytics to optimise the site and drive web traffic
  • Ensure online activity is in line with overall brand and marketing strategy
  • Influencing online marketing activity to maximise commercial opportunity based on company level product performance and/or stock levels
  • Consistently manage the flow of product and to work closely with the Buying & Merchandise team to ensure improved availability
  • To coach, motivate and develop the E-Commerce Merchandising Assistant

Essential Criteria:

  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent)
  • Have worked in a retail environment
  • Be strong numerically and analytically
  • Ability to evolve with the role and adapt to suit expectations as the position develops
  • Ability to manage and motivate the Ecommerce Assistant whilst demonstrating own competencies internally playing a "hands on" role whenever necessary
  • Able to "spot the winners"
  • Commercially minded with an entrepreneurial spirit, able to demonstrate own creativity whilst empowering team to encourage personal development
  • Organisation skills
  • Decision making skills
  • Communication skills able to communicate with all levels in the business professionally
  • PC literate

Preferred Criteria (but not essential as full training will be provided):

  • Experience in a retail Merchandising environment, ideally with E-commerce experience
  • Strong demonstration of range planning
  • Excellent knowledge of forecasting principles
  • Understanding of range planning
  • Thorough understanding of the key elements of the Buying Cycle and the principles of E-Commerce trading
  • Excellent knowledge of forecasting principles
